The hunt for the LMP Christmas Treble 2016!

The London Mozart Players are inviting young trebles, both male and female from the borough of Croydon to audition to perform Howard Blake’s” Walking in the Air” and the opening unaccompanied verse of “Once in Royal David’s City”. The winning treble will perform in “A Christmas Carol” the LMP’s Christmas concert at St John the Evangelist, Upper Norwood on 16th December.

All applicants will be auditioned by a panel from the LMP and Adrian Adams, Director of Music at St John the Evangelist, Upper Norwood. These will take place at St John the Evangelist, Sylvan Road during the week of 28th November.

Applicants should prepare” Walking in the Air” from the Snowman and the first verse of “Once in Royal David’s City”. Piano accompaniment will be available.

The London Mozart Players present a Christmas extravaganza concert at their new home St John the Evangelist – Upper Norwood. Suitable for the whole family, join the orchestra in the countdown to Christmas for an evening of carols, choirs and Christmas commissions – all topped off with mulled wine and festive treats from The Crystal Palace Food Market. The LMP will be joined on stage by the Central Band of The Royal British Legion, local choirs and schools for a programme that will get you counting down the days until Christmas. Bring along friends and family, your santa hats and plenty of festive cheer!

This concert is being held in aid of Barnardo’s, who are celebrating their 150 year anniversary.
