Beethoven’s Ninth, but make it Croydon. Hundreds of local voices come together at Fairfield Halls to sing the final ‘Ode to Joy’, alongside brand new music from Croydon’s own music groups.

For one monumental night at Fairfield Halls, Beethoven’s final symphony becomes a celebration of Croydon.

Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony is one of the most powerful pieces of music ever written. From its dramatic opening to the instantly recognisable ‘Ode to Joy’, it builds towards a message of togetherness and humanity. It’s music that belongs to everyone and for this event, Croydon will be right at the heart of it.

We’re bringing together people of all backgrounds to create a mammoth Croydon choir for the iconic ‘Ode to Joy’. Hundreds of Croydon voices will come together as one, filling Fairfield Halls with the electrifying sound of the borough singing together.

Alongside Beethoven, the concert will feature brand new music from local Croydon music groups Subrang Arts and Club Soda. Fresh, original music made right here in the borough, adding another layer to this showcase of Croydon’s creativity.
